APPLICATION AND DESCRIPTION

For Profinet connections on moving equipment, this range separates the mobile-use construction from the drag-chain construction. Both use stranded tinned copper cores with PE insulation in a star-quad assembly. The mobile version has PVC inner and outer jackets; the drag-chain version has an FRNC inner jacket and a PUR outer sheath.

KEY FEATURES

  • Stranded AWG 22/7 tinned copper cores with white, yellow, blue and orange insulation.

  • Aluminium-lined foil and overall tinned copper braid screens.

  • 6.5 ± 0.2 mm overall diameter and 100 ± 15 ohms impedance at 1–100 MHz.

SELECTION NOTES

Identify the movement pattern before choosing the cable. For the drag-chain version, include chain radius, travel, speed and acceleration in the specification. Match the connector to the stranded cores and sheath diameter, and arrange strain relief at the equipment connection.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do the mobile and drag-chain versions differ?

The mobile version uses PVC inner and outer jackets. The drag-chain version uses an FRNC inner jacket and a PUR outer sheath.

Is the conductor assembly screened?

Yes. Aluminium-lined polyester foil and a tinned copper braid enclose the core assembly.

What conductor construction is used?

Both versions use stranded tinned copper conductors designated AWG 22/7.

What is the cable diameter?

The listed overall diameter is 6.5 ± 0.2 mm for both versions.

What operating range is listed?

The technical data gives an operating temperature range from −40°C to +70°C.
